This is an interesting change in CMS policy. Effective for claims with dates of service on or after September 27, 2021, contractors shall be aware that the CMS MACs may determine reasonable and necessary coverage of oxygen therapy and oxygen equipment in the home for patients who are not described in section B or precluded by section C of NCD 240.2.
