“A plaintiff who filed a lawsuit against Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Insta-gram, is seeking class-action status for his case, which alleges that the company used a tracker called Pixel to illegally siphon information about a person’s health from patient portals of more than 660 health care providers. The suit alleges that Facebook could use the data to help advertisers target patients with specific conditions, such as cancer.”
