Some Durable Medical Equipment, Pros-thetics, Orthotics, & Supplies (DMEPOS) suppliers bill Medicare for items provided to patients while they are in a facility. These are improper DMEPOS claims because Medi-care pays the facility to provide DMEPOS. Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS).
